Unlike some of the other robovacs we evaluated, the i3+ EVO comes with a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. This reduces hands-on maintenance and also helps prevent the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it still requires manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L, which is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors that create maps. It can also allow you to navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7 can also utilize its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.
The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris compared to some other robovacs we've reviewed, but it is not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.
